Elena Sweet is founder and owner of Totally Dog®. She is a professional dog trainer, Certified Canine Behavior Specialist by the elite group of FEMA and NASAR canine behaviorists. She and her staff are certified in Pet First Aid and CPR.

As a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the only entity that offers ongoing continuing education in the field of humane dog training, she endorses only reward based training.

Elena received her undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Miami with studies in the MBA Program. She has been a member of Miami Dade Fire Rescue’s Urban Search and Rescue FL Task Force 1 for ten years; with her FEMA certified search and rescue dogs, Thea and Streater. She has deployed with the team as a canine specialist in response to many disasters worldwide such as the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, September 11, 2001 in New York City, the August 1999 search effort after an earthquake hit Turkey, the flooding caused by Katrina and many other disasters.
